  • Support Services Clerk is responsible for supporting internal work flow operations through clerical tasks such as reception, data entry and hospital research in accordance to organizational processes and procedures. Clerical support is provided by assisting incoming callers and onsite visitors. Logging, scanning, organizing and distributing mail and faxes. Applying appropriate postage to outgoing mail. Collecting data and/or medical records from client systems to update internal accounts. Updating client systems to provide timely status updates and assist with billing processes. Securing new referrals from client systems. Providing data input, corrections and assignments. Preparing client reconciliation reports & taking necessary action to client responses..   • A Commercial Insurance/Motor Vehicle Accident Specialist acts as a liaison between our client, the patient, and the potential third-party commercial insurance payer to ensure the correct payer is billed and paid. Specialists research and investigate information secured through patient interviews, hospital notes, online tools, contact with insurance companies, police reports or other public records to locate a billable claim with a commercial health insurance, auto insurance, Medicare, or any payer source other than Medicaid.   • Eligibility Specialists are responsible for screening self-pay or underinsured patient’s bedside within a hospital setting, by phone or in the community for the highest potential payer source. Files Medicaid applications through the State of Michigan website. Completes all necessary follow up and documentation submission until a determination is made. Identifies and refers all third-party payer sources to the Commercial Insurance/Motor Vehicle Accident department.
