Reports To: Director of Administrative Services
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary: Support Service Clerk is responsible for supporting internal work flow operations through clerical tasks such as reception, data entry and hospital research in accordance to organizational processes and procedures. Clerical support is provided by assisting incoming callers and onsite visitors. Logging, scanning, organizing and distributing mail and faxes. Applying appropriate postage to outgoing mail. Collecting data and/or medical records from client systems to update internal accounts. Updating client systems to provide timely status updates and assist with billing processes. Securing new referrals from client systems. Providing data input, corrections and assignments. Preparing client reconciliation reports & taking necessary action to client responses.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of user applications, such as, Internet Browser, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Windows 10+, Business Systems. Must be able to type 45WPM minimum.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to obtain HIPAA certification, including their application to digital information systems.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months data-entry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college preferred; not mandatory.
